1.Just wondering what the difference between the two above is? They are the same in price.

2. Which one would you guys who have stayed there recommended/prefer?

3. Do the singles come with a double bed, or would I need to book a double in order to get a double bed in the room.

Many thanks in advance.

I can't really answer your question but I've stayed at the President Park and am now at the President Solitaire. I think that all rooms come with a double bed unless you specifically ask for twins.

I much prefer the President Solitaire, they have a good promotion now for their basic suite at 3250 or so net per day and it includes 3 lfree aundry items each day which is pretty convenient. I also like the 42 inch plasma tv and the free shuttle service to the bts which runs every 10 minutes or so.

Cheers, Hank

Isee
I stayed in the deluxe room on a recommendation by another forum member who frequently stays at RP and was happy with it. I found that I liked the layout of the rooms at the end of the building (which was a double).

On my second stay I was given a twin room (DS) and moved the next morning because the beds separated a bit during the night etc. From memory the sapphire Suite is in the C wing. Some like it because separate entrance, while others prefer the main building where the pool, bar etc is. Personal choice. If you go in low season you may not have too many problems in changing...??? I think I was upgraded to the Sapphire Suite on my first stay and would agree with the recommendation of the other member that I preferred the deluxe.

Even though PS is a superior hotel to the RP, the discount rate is still 1000+ baht a night more. Not a lot, but depends on your budget.

Cheers

PS - If you look in the Hotel threads a fair bit about room differences has been discussed already.
