Brothers:  I need your help.  I will be taking a very short trip to BKK in the coming week.  I currently am monitoring a few projects for work, which I can do as long as I can connect to the internet and then VPN to my company's network (why not be in BKK, right?).  In order to do this, I need a hotel that provides in-room internet access where I can plug it into my LAN card (in my laptop).  Do you know of any hotels that  offer this service?  I believe the Centrepoint hotels do so.  Your help on this matter would greatly be appreciated.  Thanks!

5 star hotels would be the ones to offer this service. Hotel website should have that info. Check out the Banyon Tree on Silom Rd Sheraton and Sol Twin Towers have business center internet service.

Tyler,

Sukhothai Hotel seems to have that facility.

According to their website Sukhothai Hotel room rates START at US $260.  Ouch.  Unless money is no object...  Grand President Sukumvit Soi 11 would be a more reasonable choice.

Brothers:  I stayed at the Novotel-Lotus, they provided "high speed" internet access which was actually just another phone line out that I could connect to at 33.6kbs, and it was an extra 500b/day.  It did the job because I was able to connect and then access my Outlook and keep in touch with my project team members.  The room itself was OK, there was a security guard at night camped out in front of the elevator who would take the girls ID cards, and there was a 700b charge for overnight "guests" (I was able to have the mgr waive this off for me the next day and for the rest of my stay).  Getting girls in during the day was no problem.  I also heard that the Centrepoint hotels have in-room high speed access and so does the Imperial Queen Plaza, and they both do not have "guest" fees.
