Every time I'm going to Pattaya I was staying in soi Korpai, 300-350 baht per night, simple but clean with aircon, cable tv and good security. This time I want to spend up to 1000 baht, but want to find new build, nice decorated, sunny room. I have a car so if it's far from the center of the city is not a prob. Naklua or Jomthien will be fine. Any recommendations? P.S I posted in this section, because Pattaya section has some probs with posting.

My fav' place in that price range is Dynasty Inn on soi 13. Great location - within walking distance of RGP & Walking Street as well as the beer bars of soi 6 & 7. There is also a pleasant lil' go-go bar come pool hall nearby called Tims. The room rate of 990b includes free transportation from BKK in a/c minibus - transfer time just 1.5 hrs but no brekkie. For breakfast I would recommend Lek Hotel just opp. which does a buffet brekkie for 90b till 1pm and an all you can eat dinner for just 160b incl bbq items and some seafood specials. The best things about Dynasty though are the friendly staff and the clean spacious rooms - a real bargain !

My only trip to Pattaya, some time ago I stayed in Lek hotel new wing for around 1100baht per night - sure they must be negotiable. Comfortable room except for hideous red carpet, nice bed, good a/c, cable, decent bathroom - as I remember reasonably close to some beer bars, but some distance from Walking Street. Shitty view. A decent breakfast for 100baht. I only stayed two nights, but no real complaints. Cheers, Liam

Thanks again, but probably not explained myself well, I dont care about beer bars/breakfasts, close to anything. Just to have gorgeous, new room with a lot of sun.

Rami, Rooms are not brand new at Dynasty but not in a state of disrepair either. As for sun, you won't get much of that as the rooms face a narrow street. If you want a great new sunny room with amazing views of the bay across to Jontiem then I suggest you try Sunshine Hotel & Apartments. Ask for a room in the new wing on floor 11 or above. Going rate is approx 1200b but if you book the room at Nana Hotel Travel Agency ( in lobby of Nana Hotel, soi 4, bkk) then you will get breakfast thrown in for free.

Hmm, "have gorgeous, new room with a lot of sun." Perhaps for some photo shoots?

Just back from Pattaya last night, honestly it was no time to look for new rooms, and I aint check the net for 2 days, so stayed in my regular and place and then some hotel in soi Bokay. The aircons is not working well in Pattaya's hotels right now, is too damn hot...and Ronnie perhaps you too smart.
