my favorite is the President Solitaire, but I want to change location, and I think soi 24 is a good one because just near shopping, park, soi 33, cowboy...
so help me to do the good choice.

I think the Davis could make for a really nice holiday experience. Plus, I like moving around to compare 'hotel experiences' and Davis in on my to-do list.
But, I'd just point out that it is at the opposite end of soi 24- and 24 is long. Given how hot it's been lately in the city I would imagine you would be at a slight disadvantage at Davis and thus a lot more dependent on Taxis and motocy's to get around.
At night, when there's a nice breeze blowing you might tolerate the walk up to the BTS and Emporium, but most other times it would feel like a trudge to walk it. Factor that into your calculations....

What I heard about The Davis might be mere rumor [perhaps because The Davis was developed by the massage parlor magnate turned politician Khun Chuwit], but - I heard that guests at the Davis may select any of the staff members to bed, and the cost is charged directly to the hotel bill.
Can anyone corroborate this?

Were that true mgmt. wouldn't be able to trust their allocation of personnel to insure proper levels of service.

traffic has been busy on 24 lately.
emporium suites definitely has its advantages, you have (IMO) thailands completest shopping mall "inhouse".
a nobrainer, really.

^ You can say that again! I'd never actually been inside the Emporium supermarket until yesterday, when I did so under the pretext of scoring some lychee.
Well, no lychee to be had, but WOW! what a fabulous marketplace. To me, any Deli that has Westphalian ham earns the highest of accolades- this one did. And a very fresh array of Sashimi and Sushi to go, too.
Using the Internet cafe on the bridge, by the elevator is always a superb eyecandy view, too.

Just spent a few days at the Emporium. It is very good value for money and super guest friendly. I had booked a double, but one night brought three girls back with me. Not a word said, not an eyebrow raised, no walk of shame. The kitchen facilities were a big hit with the TGs - one of them wanted to cook dinner for me! The followng morning, with two girls sleeping in my bed and one on the couch, a member of the hotel management came to the room to discuss a business luncheon I was arranging. He acted like nothing was out of the ordinary, and sat down at the dining table with me to hash out the details of the menu. Have to cdmire his aplomb, he even threw in Thai-style breakfasts for the girls.
Add guest friendliness to everything else (location, great pool and exercise facilities) and Emporium Suites is close to unbeatable.

Emporium is an excellent choice. Much better rates if you can stay for 30 days or more. No problem with ladies that dress and act accordingly. Most of the long term residents are not hobbyist. Better to rent a room in another hotel for nights of total debauchery.
