Hi Darren,

I have stayed in 2 hotels near Nana that cost 600B. per room. Both had AC, TV and fridge but no swimmingpool or breakfast.

Nana is in Soi 4 and when you cross Suhkumvit you have Soi 3. Less then 300 meters inside Soi 3 on the right side you have Holiday Inn Palace. I think the hotel is run by the indian tailor that is located "nextdoor" since you can enter the shop also from the lobby. Now they have big rooms that can easily accommedate 4 people, with a single + a double bed + a sofa and table, but the rooms/hotel is run down. It is not a squeaky clean place. Pieces of wallpaper hanging from the wall and such. I think the hotel is mainly used by (poor) arabian and african tourists. So I guess this is not a place I can reccommend to everybody. It is only 2 minutes walk from Nana.

On Soi 1 maybe 500 meters on also the right side you have Street One Lodge. This one is squeaky clean but the rooms are a lot smaller. But all rooms are build in pairs with a connecting door. So I guess that would be ideal for you and your "fren". You take 2 rooms with a connecting door for 600B each and you have your own suite for 1.200B. It is about 10 minutes walk from Nana.

By the way, the cheapest room in Nana Hotel is I think 1.280 and is very big with 3 very big one-person beds. So that also fits your budget and you can not get any closer to Nana Plaza then that.

good advise on the 3 bedrooms in the nana. room is huge.

there is a new hotel on 4 at the heidelberg. it has a nice VIP suite with a swimming pool on the rooftop.

however the price is a few thousand baht.

nana inn on 4, opposite the old hillary, has good sized rooms at 750 baht.

Woraburi on Soi 4 is fine. It has a swimming pool on the roof.

It is 1 km down Soi 4, within walking distance of NEP.

Between 900.- Baht (decent room) and 1 200.- (I think, for something bigger).

darren- you might want to try the Middle East Sahara hotel on Soi 5. there are two hotels, same owner but different managment, facing each other- directly opposite Gullivers. the Mddle East Central is about 700 baht a night- but the looks kindna run-down. and getting a nice room can be abit dicey, but the Middle East Sahara is about 1300 ( with breakfast) and the rooms are much better. Both hotels are within easy reach of FOODLAND and the 'the night butterflies'.

Dynasty is also on Soi 4, about 50 metres from Nana. Basic rooms are small and cost 1090 Baht per night.

They do have deluxe rooms, I think around 1350 Baht per night - I cannot comment on whether or not they will fit 4 people or how many beds they have.

Taking one girl to your room - no problems. Taking more - I cannot comment.

Enjoy
