Sorry mate, just saw our report. Stayed there last christmas. Super cheap place as location is not good, away from Suk area.Don't believe the lick on the website, place is quite rundown and need renovation badly. If you like stay in a cheap place close to MBK, BigC etc. may try.

I Stayed there in 2002. It was a fantastic hotel I might say. Location wise, it is just around the corner from Pantip Plaza and just a short ride to CP1-CP2. 800 baht/night. Rooms are clean, good ac, good maids, good everything.

I stayed in December,2005. I booked a 2-bedroom suite. I woke up every morning smelling fried fish from the cooking of the Indonesian family living next door.
The whole establishment needs renovation, pretty badly.

hope all is well. Is the Residence hotel girl friendly? Also, I saw that they have a SPA open but it looks kinda legit. But then, is anything really fully legit in LOS??!

I was with my family, so did get a chance to check their girlfriendlyness.
But during breakfast, I did not see any farang with a BG, a common site in other girlfriendly hotel, e.g. Nana Hotel.
Did not try the Samsara spa, but looks very legit from outside.

I stayed there 5 days and I think I would recommend this hotel to budget-minded travellers who are keen on shopping for bargains at the IT mall next door "Pantip plaza".
Pros:
- Price: 900 THB per night
- in-house Internet access for 1 THB/min
- in house spa
- proximity of Pantip Plaza (3 min walk) and Siam Center (1 BTS station)
- relative proximity of BTS station "Ratjatevi" (5 min walk)
Cons:
- quite run down rooms
- some rooms have no view
- no swimming-pool
I had no problem for smuggling in 1 girl.
