I am looking for a decent hotel in bkk with pool, gym, quite close to the action but not slap bang in the middle i.e. nana. most of all it has to be bg friendly. can any of you please help out with any suggestion experiences? also preferbly 4+star. asking a lot arnt i?
Got just the tip you're looking for if you're willing to stretch to 5* property close to the action. Go to priceline.com and select the Sukhumvit area [only], then select 5star properties [only], and then start your bids at +/- $65 then continue on until you're successful. However high it is that you go until you win know this berfore you start: what you'll get when you're done is the JW Marriot.
It meets all your criteria very admirably.
edit in: PS- Last time I tried this option was last Nov. My winning bid was $70 for a 4 night stay.
