Few quick notes on the Majestic Grand on Soi 2 (just down Soi 2 from the Marriot, two mins walk to Sukhumvit Rd, four mins to Nana Plaza) A good place, brand new, big rooms, 29 inch TV, 3200bht a night. Annies Massage about 25 feet from the front door if that is your thing. Mid size hotel, about 240 odd rooms,
Girl friendly - IDs taken if late at night, or if girls are all too clearly bar girls and not your 'TGF', but all done in a slick and efficient manner. Girls who are seen regularly with guest soon treated as guests themselves. My TGF did not have to leave her ID once.
Have read reports about lack of water pressure; true to a point, but nothing I would have commented on if I had not read it beforehand. Good bathrooms and good safe in room.
One problem; only two lifts and one has been under repair from noon until 5.00pm this week. One lift in a 25 story hotel makes for LONG waits esp compared with Landmark which has the quickest lifts I have even come across; sometimes you just need to get to the room FAST!
Swimming pool a little small as noted by other bms. Good business centre, 4 PCs with good speed broadband. Very quick laundry turn around. WiFi in rooms but can't recall price as I did not have my laptop with me.
Can't comment on food as did not eat at hotel once, but room service menu looked up to snuff.
Would recommend at current 'special' rates and stay again.

I got confirmed booking beginning of August, Grande Premier room which one step up from their cheapest room, but confirmation said 8th floor? Anyone been there, sounds like floor just above parking floors? Is it worth paying more than their cheapest Superior room?
