1 - They have a bookings number on a mobile phone.
Looks strange to me.
2 - They use a payment site: secure-paiement-reservation
Couldn't they spell properly?
3 - The total amount seems to be including taxes and other charges but the booking form says: total amount 52 THB.
Seems dodgy and not very professional.
Their prices are ok though (for Four WingsUS$52 compared to Precisionreservations about US$50, res24 US$53).

If you're planning to be with a TG, it's best to book a double to avoid joiner fees and walk of shame hassles.
But this crowd quotes its rates "per adult per night" so it seems their double occupancy is double the price.
Normally a double is just a few $USD more than a single, to cover breakfast etc.
On that ground alone, I think you can do better.

Not completely true. But it is (again) falsely written.
From their FAQ:
Are the rates on your site per person or per room per night ?
The quoted room rate is per room per night. The rate will reflect the number of persons you entered on the Search Form. It is for one person if you selected one person and it's for two people if you selected two people.
In the case of the Four Wings:
1 person USD 46
2 persons USD 52

Actually, It's the same company that manage asiarooms.com.
They are perfect, I booked many times via this site and never had any problem with the reservations or with the payment.
Most of the times, their prices are at the middle-low of the range.

However, you may wish to consider what travelforum.org has to say about asiarooms etc. in its 'Name & Shame' list:
"Must National Communications Co / Asiarooms (Travel Agent) - Bangkok
These people run the following reservations / web sites; Asiarooms.com, Siam-Hotel.Com, Asiavoyage24.com, Hotels-Thailand.net, Thailand-Hotels-Phuket.com, Thai-Hotels.com, Thairooms.com, Hotels.Siam.net (Siam.net), Thailand-Hotels-Online.com, Thailandrooms.net, and many more. We have clear documented cases of this travel agent owing both business contacts (including our sponsor) and guests money - they are to be avoided at all costs.
We have documented reports of this company refusing to refund guests who have canceled properly and within the cancellation terms provided for on their web sites. We have clear documented evidence that this company does not always provide what the guest has paid for. These people are probably the nastiest travel agents in Thailand. They are French managed (the C.O.O. is Bruno Bourdin). If you are owed money by them, we suggest you contact him directly at bruno@asiavoyage24.com. Although he seems to simply ignore most claimants' e-mails. Please also let us know about any problems with this company, as we are keeping a file on them."

In view of your comments, which website would you recommend for booking of hotel rooms in Thailand ?
Would it be cheaper to book the hotel room through a travel agent upon landing in Thailand/Bangkok or through the hotel's own website ? How about the walk-in rate - would it be cheaper / more expensive compared to a booking through the internet ?

I guess precisionreservations an res24 are the best known ones (prices don't differ a lot between the two).

I book this year also with asiarooms. The confirmation comes from Diethelm Travel a company with good reputation in Bangkok.
Everything work good.
