Poss staying at the Amari Boulevard at the end of the year.Has anyone stayed there ?? I seem to remember something about asking for a green card for the room and NOT white.
Maybee someone could let me know.

Stayed there last year for about 4 days.
I would definetly stay away from this hotel.
It's not worth it for the price and isn't very
girl friendly. If locations is what you like about
this hotel. There tons of other places to
stay at.

Contrary to the many bad reports regarding the Amari's gf status.
I have stayed on 4 occasions in the past year. Always booked a double - thats a given anywhere.
Never had any problems bringing girls back. The security guy usually stops checking your booking status once he recognises you.
Two electronic keys are issued, one of which I gave to my gf at the time. She had no problems with security and said they were very polite to her.
I can't understand the negative feedback about the Amari.
The managers name is Jacques. Email him and check for yourself, I did and he assured me that overnight guests were fine if a double was booked.
I did keep a hard copy of that email in my suitcase. You just never know in Bangkok, rules change with the wind.
Pool is good and food is ok but with many better places close buy, skip the meals.

Good place to take your take-away TGF to stay for a night or so ?

I have stayed at the Amari Boulevard a fair number of times over the last few years and never had problems. Occasionally a girl has been asked for her ID, which of course is fine. I am planning to check in tomorrow night for a few days and am not expecting any trouble although it's been a few months since I was last there. If you're going to be around drop me a pm and maybe we can meet up for a beer.

I dont agree that Amari is girl friendly. Amari is one of the most girl unfriendly hotels in all of Bangkok. I suggest avoiding it like the plague. You can get around their nonsense by booking a double room. But it's best to avoid their crap and just stay at a different hotel.
By the way, if you do a search, there are already many threads in this section on the Amari and how much of a pain in the ass it is. They will charge you 800 baht per girl if you have not paid for double occupancy up front and they dont warn you about it up front.

I've struggled to find a decent hotel. Normally I stay at the Majestic Suites but this trip I have been a little late booking the room.
So i've booked the Amari Boulevard Hotel. Is their anyone else with experiences of this place
