Hi im staying at the President Park Suites (Tulip Suite) next month. Can anyone give me any nfo on the hotel, area, rules etc etc?

One of my favorite place to stay in BKK. Great amenities like swimming pool, gym etc. The neighborhood is quieter, with Starbuck right across the street and other nice cafes and restaurants up and down the soi to Emporium. One drawback is it's kind of far ( walking) from Sukhumvit so you need to take a taxi if you want to get out to the Emporium or BTS station. Staffs are friendly and generally competent. Talk to George the manager if you have any problem. I will try to get the rooms across the street from the main building. The rooms are a little newer and there is only one security guard (friendly) to greet you when you bring your "girlfriend" home. There is also a small "supermarket" nearby. And oh, the Soprono ( old Orbit) is just the next soi out. Soi 33 bars just on the other side of Sukhumvit. All in all, if you are staying more than just a couple of days, PP is top choice because you would want to have that little peace and quiet. If you are only staying for a few days, then I will try President Solitaire. More actions there at Soi 11, but you will get pretty "burnt out" in a few days.

Manowar thank you very much. yeah im there for a week and a little peace and quiet will be nice after a few to many the night before. I dont mind the taxi rides I just spent 6 months taking taxi;s in Saudi so there is nothing they can throw at me that I wont handle. But once again thanks for the info its a great help.

short taxi ride to Suk. On your way out to Suk, you will pass this humongous seafood restaurant with this sign outside " If it swims, we have it" ( or something like that). You have to go check this place out. It's laid out like a supermarket, but with mostly seafood. You go pick what you like, put them in the basket, and your waiter will suggest two hundred different ways to cook it. Great to take your TBG. It's not cheap but worth the experience.

Seafood Market. Last time I went too many Chinese but other than that if you like seafood it's definitely worth a visit.

That seafood place would have to be one of the bigger rip off places in Bangkok, steer clear of it. Plenty of better places about.
As for steak, plenty of that also, but quality can be hit and miss.

I am getting a rate of 1900bts per night, for 6 nights.
There has been no news around for this from ages.
Please let me know guys! Last time stayed at Swiss Grottino, it was lovely, jus thought wud try something with a pool this time.
