I stayed at President Park in a deluxe room ( booked as double) back in August; I really liked the rooms, they were huge with plenty of closet space, and I had no problem bringing Bar girls to my room.
I am planning to returh to Bangkok in early November and I would like to stay there again, however I saw a bit disturbing news on asiarooms website about the hotel's' new guest policy...

Joiner Policy
*** The Serviced Apartment will be charging an additional charge 350 baht should a resident bring along a guest to spend the night at the apartment. Please pay directly with the apartment
*** For security seasons, the guest will be registered and receipt will be issued for the additional payment.
I am a little disturbed about this; could it be this property is no longer guest friendly (even if you book a double) ?
I guess, I should consider a different hotel, maybe the Admiral Suites this time around.
Can anybody verify this new policy? Any other reccomendations, near Soi 33 and the Emporuim shopping center that are guest friendly for about 2000-2500 baht double?

Can't tell you if they are enforcing it or not but I can tell you that this policy is in force at all the President properties. And posters say it is NOT enforced at the President Solitaire & for sure not at Grand President.
Prior to checking in ask.
Sounds like legal boiler plate that is IN NAME ONLY.

This "joiner" policy is not enforced at any President properties - for sure. I have different girls in there all the time. Days, nights, STs, LTs, and no one has ever said a thing.
And I always book a single.
I think this "joiner fee" is only written on the asiarooms.com website.

Stayed at Royal President and they had the notice right next to the elevators. Brought a bunch of girls back and they didn't even bat an eyelash.

Try Royal president - as long as you walk in politely and not tanked up with alcohol, you'll be fine

I spent a week at the President Park Suites about 2 weeks ago. Diff girl every night and no one gave me a saideways look. I booked a Tulip suite and they upgraded me on arrival. But I can confirm that I could have walked through the hotel with a brass band and I dont think anyone would have stopped me.

No joiner fee problem at all. If you happen to be staying in the Maple Tower Wing side, you can bring your guest via the basement bar/club elevator area if you are embarrassed by the walk of shame through the main lobby.

Am staying in the PP now. Definitely girl friendly with no joiner fees. Returned in an inebriated state with 2 BGs on my arms, not a squeak from the guy on duty save for "girls ID please" and "have a good time, I mean, night, sir"
