Hi guys, going out for the 1st time for 8 nights, 4 in Bangkok and 4 in Pttaya. Looking to stay in the Landmark in Bangkok and the marriot resort and spa in Pattaya. Any comments on the above hotels would be appreciated and if anyone can suggest places of similar qualities, location, guest friendly etc but a few pounds cheaper or better for the same money, please let me know. thanks bigbadbaz

Landmark OK good hotel very friendly, good food services and free wifi if your interested. Close to NANA BTS so easy to get to most tourist places fairly easily. Only drawback is the traffic on Sukhumvit can be a little problem at times but there are security at the entrance so getting taxis is not a problem. and there is a money changer directly outside the coffee shop entrance. Good live band in the basement "The Huntsman" Don't know Pattaya only do day/overnight trips

bigbadbaz Look through the threads mate lots of hotel info here, it depends on how much you want to spend and what facilities you need. All I will say is book very soon I am doing dec/jan and finding that my first choices are booked up already so having to split my accomodation up but thats no bad thing. Have fun.

Sandontoes, I have heard a lot about the Montien and it not being GF.How much is the Joiner fee?I don't mind paying if the hotel is good and I believe the Montien is. Also (and replying to the previous poster) the Landmark is better located then the JW but only by a couple of hundre metres if that.

There is no joiner fee at the Montien (or at least that's what they just e-mailed me).

Zeneth Hotel is a dump! I stayed there last week and I know it is not "girl Friendly", I brought my own girl. But after the hotel tried to rip me off, had no internet in the rooms, and has not been cleaned up in about 2 months, I will not be back.
