Good show. If one is staying in an American branded hotel, it is useful to have some extra security of the type which isn't needed at say the Landmark or Shangri-la. When at the JW Marriott one always elects to be stabled on the non-Nana side even though that's where the barn door is. A room at the far end of the corridor is best methinks.

Oh good, Thai security firms are increasing security, how reliable I parked my car in the Marriott (soi 2) about 2 weeks ago, the security guard walked around the passenger side of the car with a mirror on a stick to view under the car (only the passenegr side mind, after all who would put a bomb on the driver side) then he asked me to open my boot, within which was a large suitcase, he looked at the boot, closed the lid and I was in, totally ignoring the sports bag on the back seat. Yeah, the extra security measures mean we can all relax safely now

Here's a concept - How about NOT staying at an American branded hotel? Seems to make more sense.
