'The lock of the room that they wanted to give us first, was broken. Then the other room was very dirty in general, the carpet was filthy, the shower mouldy, and it was impossible to sleep with the airconditioning on, as it was very loud. What's more there were dead cockroaches in the hallway, that weren't removed for several days. The staff didn't speak any english at all and wasn't very helpful in general.'
There are a couple of other places for 600 baht per night in Bangkok.

Go nextdoor (if I knew where this Number One was) to Street One Lodge. Also 600 baht. No breakfast tho. Do a UTFSE in this section. I mentioned it several times already. In budget hotels, group hotels and such.
I have no knowledge for this Number One except the given link, but I doubt I will give it a try.

I stayed there two years ago for 350 baht/night. Has this place been somekind of brothel before? Because the room I stayed in didn't have any toilet, there were mirrors everywhere (roof, walls), only shower and nice bed. Kind of like a soapy massage room. No window.
They hassled me big time when I brought my non bg girlfriend in.

Number one used to be a kind of brothel a couples of years ago......the previous owners were a dutch and kiwi....nice guys but they tried to be a bad copy of the Eden club.....2 rooms for taking the girls upstairs one with chains from the celing for some gym sex..... about 7/8 girls,some cuties with a good attitude....the bar downstairs used to have a big pool table and reasonably priced beers. Tried 2 or 3 girls and the service was pretty good but spent many afternoons in there just for cooling off at the bar.When I hit the place again 4 months ago everything changed and the place turned up to be a kind of cheap and filthy guesthouse infested by backpackers of the worst kind. I don't know what happened to the previous owners but I heard rumors they had troubles with the boys in brown so they were forced to change the direction of their buisness. Just cross the street if you want a big room for 800 bth at the Golden Palace, not too bad for that price with a pool, restaurant,internet point and a backdoor entrance for a limited walk of shame.
