Anybody stayed at the Bangkok City Suite, which was newly opened in June 2005 ?
They are located at 1 Petchburi Road, Ratchathewi about 0.8 kms from the Ratchthewi BTS Station.
According to their website, the online booking rate ( 'Special rates' from 1 August 2005 until further notice ) is 650 bahts / night + American breakfastfor a single room or 750 bahts / night + American breakfast for a twin/double room.

I will be going to LOS shortly, and am considering booking at the Bangkok City Suite hotel. As it seems very cheap, and, normally, you get what you pay for - I would appreciate any pointers you might have - presumeably you stayed there
I am particularly interested in the fact - is there an elevator to each floor - my legs are a bit wobbly.
Is there a room safe?
Generally is it clean?
Your reply would be much appreciated.

Yes, elevator on each floor.
Room safe? I did not notice. I never need one anyway.
Rooms are generally clean.
They even use card key, quite modern.
Breakfast so so.
Receptionists are not very experienced and not attentive. I guess their pays are low.

Building looks like a cheap apartment complex transfered into a hotel...
Not close to any entertainment area (Suk 23, Suk 4, Soi 33, Patpong).
18 minutes walk to the nearest BTS....
In the daytime, traffic is horrendous on Petchburi...
But I guess, you get what you pay for...
Perhaps better choices:
Ruamchitt Plaza (Suk 15) 1,000 baht/night
Ruamchitt Travel Lodge (Suk 10) 950 baht/night
Business Inn (Suk 11) 700-1000 baht/night

Oh yeah, Ruamchitt Plaza is a great place to stay in... you have Thermae in the basement.
