This hotel used to be girl friendly when it was the Jade Hotel.
It hasn't changed management, so I guess still OK.

This hotel has one of the smallest room I've ever inspected....and it ain't no cheap for the quality of services they provide....small rooms, smaller bathrooms, small corridors, small lift.....you got the pic
Only good note is the Italian restaurant, Viva Vino, seriving decent Italian food and not so decent Latin live music...

Some guests say it is, some have to pay. Heard from some guests the rooms are quite nice, but very small.

The Grand Mercure Fortune is a lovely hotel in a great position, for me, at least. If you book a double there should be no problem. The security guys do hang around the ground floor lift area and might check but will be fine if you have a room for two booked. If a single occupancy booking the hotel will add something to the bill though.
A tip for you, if you walk into the hotel from the Fortune Town shopping mall, which is attached to the hotel, you can walk up one small flight of stairs to the Japanese restaurant and take the lift from there to your floor, this way you avoid the security guys completely.
