Just sent made ressies via the website for Dynasty Inn in Pattaya.
Recieved an e-mail back asking me to pay first night deposit into a US bank, and the bank account is under a persons name.
I don't think so!! That's a bit starnge of you ask me,...
what do you think??

Also if this practice with an individual person's account has been practised with other hotels or services with intrnet payment. Could be the admin person in the hotel for all you know?

My limited experience with the Dynasty chain suggests that they are a very reputable group. Their business has grown incredibly over the last six years. This does not happen unless you provide good service at the right price.
I can not explain your situation but if you double check with the Dynasty management I am sure that you will be able to make the decision yourself.

except for the shower being small (by western standards) I enjoyed myself at the dynasty inn the first time I visited bangkok, and will be enjoying them again in 19 days (yes yes yes!!!)
also going to be trying to spend a night in dynasty pataya (free shuttle to pty) so i'll give a report on that place as well.

If you are arriving after 6.30 pm they do require your flight number and time of arrival, normaly they ask for payment of the first night,they provide details of payment by C/C on thier return e-mail.
Never had a problem with this, good hotel.

I've stayed there a few times. They want a CC but they don't charge it unless you flake on the reservation, in which case they'll charge you for one night. Their email should have had a printable fax form with a fax number.
I was asked to pre-pay for a res later this year but it's because I asked for, and was offered, a discount on a 3 week stay in low season.
Good hotel in a great central location. And I love the walk-in shower  .
