For some odd reason most of the hotels in Bangkok are next to main roads… im a light sleeper and need to know what is the quietest hotel in Bangkok. My research so far seems to suggest its between: - The rose hotel Room rate 1900baht The Swiss Lodge Room rate 2700baht Anyone stayed at either? Any thoughts? Any other suggestions? Ideally away from main roads and road works!

dagul- Davis Hotel, after but of research it would seem your correct… it is truly one of the quietest hotels in Bangkok (but its also one of the most luxurious) a bit out of my price range, I will be staying for a about a month. Room rate 3650 baht… Superior room (cheapest they have) Maybe ok for just for a few nights before the flight back (rest up). --- PussyLover 69- Yep same hotel… Rose Hotel 118 Surawongse Road, Bangkok 10500 But they recently completed a complete renovation (take a look) http://www.sawadee.com/hotel/bangkok/rosehotel/pictures.html can you remember if it was quiet?

A good bet is the Royal Asia Lodge Hotel, on Soi 8. It is at the end of the Soi, away from Sukhumvit. Complementary tuk-tuk to Sukhumvit (but easily walkable). Quiet neighbourhood. (It is close to the action!)

What about the Swiss Grottino? Dead silent providing you are on the side away from Robinson's. one or two tuk tuk moan their way up the carpark levels in the mornings and the rubbish truck can make a noise if on the lower floors. Very handy, reasonable rates, spotless, girl friendly, big rooms considering room rates. No moaning from other rooms, although often heard on the way to the lift. Lol. Worth checking out IMHO. Tuck
