I will be going to LOS in November and was wondering about the Grace hotel coffee shop.I have got a few girls from there before but that was prior to Sept 11.
I have heard since then that Europeans are not that welcome there anymore.Just wondering if any of you guys have been there recently and how did you find it? What was the price for ST/LT? I personally like the place because I like meeting girls first of all in their day clothes rather than seeing them in massage dresses or in a bikini or naked

Yes sure I like to see them naked Casey but not straight away.I have walked into a go go bar where the girls are dancing naked and in 5 minutes been bored because I have seen everything already, but at I like the Grace hotel because you can buy the girl a drink and chat with her wondering all the time what her body looks like.I like the anticipation

Absolutely couldn't agree more with Sukhumvit Boy. I like to preferably see the girl in a finely tailored business suit. The thought of what's underneath is the biggest turn on of all, especially knowing you are in with a chance. This is the reason why I never really liked the a-go-go bars, seeing girls dancing naked just doesn't do it for me.

I shouldn't imagine that you will get any trouble from Arabs in the Grace(I have stayed there three times since September 11th), whether you are staying there or just drinking in the coffee shop. They do tend to treat the Thai staff as if they were lumps of shit, but I have always found them to be polite with Europeans or Americans.
With regard to the coffee shop, I haven't been down in a couple of years as I find it to be depressing, but maybe it has improved since the clampdown on opening times.

The Islamic types certainly did make a problem for an Arab-American in the coffee shop of the Grace during the Gulf War, they beat the shit out of him and threw him in the gutter of Soi 3.
I have NEVER patronized the Grace, and doubt that I ever will.
If the coffee-shop scene is to one's liking, why mess with the Islamic turf at all? What does the Grace offer that Thermae or Nana Hotel or Siam Hotel etc, coffee shops don't?
Except for the absence of people who pray toward Mecca?

It has long been one of the better traditions at Nana Plaza to run those people off (there used to be a sign in Lucky Luke's, reminding Moslems of the prohibition against alcohol. Maybe it is still there? I don't even know if LL's is still there, it's been that long since I've been to NEP.

Why waste your precios time and resources in the Casbah area except for some kababs. I stayed at Grace my first time in BKK in '96. There was always some drunk Abdul ranting about America and the Jews being responsible for all the problems in their rathole c***ries. Never been back. When I was with a few of the Grace girls I would pay 500St and the girls told me they would always charge the Abduls much higher because of the great risk of being beaten.
I mean no offesne, but this is the way it is. However, I have been noticing more of them patronizing Nana and Thermae, but they are very low-key.
