Recently I stayed at Aspen Suites, Sukhumvit Soi 2, opened in May 2008, for a couple of days, then changed to another hotel cause it was just not good enough for several reasons.
Pro: the rooms are truly spacious and more or less well furnished, room layout is a bit strange though... free LAN Internet and reasonable rate of about 2KB/night. Needless to say: completely g/f
But there's a bit of Con also: The plumbing of the bathroom is so poor. You can't shower without flooding the room... The towel rack came down from the wall literally every day. And Soi 2 is not a nice Soi (quiet and boring) and the hotel is very deep into the soi almost up to its end, where the infamous Alaska Hotel (SEX TOURIST NOT WELCOME!!!) is. Aspen Suitess not too bad though, staff is nice, restaurant is ok, but all in all I didn’t feel so well cause of the soi and the room and changed after my return from Pattaya…

Actually, the Inuit people are by tradition rather promiscuous. When I was stationed on Greenland, the old joke was that you paid the girls to take a bath, not for the sex. It was also a tradition there for people to go months without baths.

Its a guest friendly decent boutique hotel. Part of the Compass hospitality group. Others include Admiral Suites and Adelphi Suites etc.
Around 1,987 Baht per night until 31 March. Notbad for a 33 sqm room with free internet and a swimming pool.
Quite deep in Suk Soi 2. Past Annies and The Majestic Grande, although hotel do have a tuk tuk service.
