As per usual Majestic Suites fully booked. As between Parkway Inn and Ever Rich, any major pluses or minuses. Want no hassle with guests, in-room safe and any advice on which rooms are nicer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the recs. According to Ever Rich they have in room safe (or some sort of safety box). Will try to check on Darjeeling on the return leg and report back on both.

Just wrapped up a stay on the Ever Rich. The good- location b/n soi 5 &7. The bad- according to manager the hotel is 2 1/2 years old- not one bit of maintenance was done in that time. Carpets are stained and rooms need to be repainted. Even facing the back can be a bit noisy. Also, the shower has one of those rainfall type heads which is nice- but there is no electric water heater like you typically see- my guess is there is a water tank on the roof of the building, which would explain why you can only get a hot shower in the middle of the afternoon.
For 1600 baht a night, probably better off at any number of soi 4 hotels with equally crappy rooms at lower prices. As per my earlier post, I can confirm an in-room safe with key.
Went to check out Darjeeling- in a bit of no-man's land (IMO). Really cool looking exterior. Quoted 1800 a night for room with kingsize bed including internet. They don't take credit cards and I can't be assed to withdraw a week's worth of stay in cash.
Went to check out the Grottino-- exterior no where near as nice as Darjeeling but the room looked really nice, clean and well maintained (Ever Rich can take a lesson) -at least 1 1/2 times as large as room at the Ever Rich and more of a feeling of being in the middle of it all. Booked here and looking forward to the return visit.

No, I did not. Once the credit card issue came up, I walked. I have no doubt that they are nice and that cheaper rates are available, just wasn't for me at the moment.
