some years ago when the US dollar was high and the Aussie dollar was low, there were some Aussie Travel Agents where we could get good prices for Bangkok hotels. Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit was one hotel where some members took advantage of this situation.
As the Aussie dollar rose and the US Dollar fell, these were no longer a bargain.
I'm wondering now with the recent increase in US$ value and dropping A$ as well as dropping UK pound..... does anyone know of any good deals available (for Bangkok or elsewhere) from Australia or UK due to these currency swings?
I've checked the big web sites like Expedia but they are globalized and prices reflect the daily exchange rates.

I live in new york, and lately have been using a website called Hotelscombined.com. This website functions as a search engine and gives you multiple choices for any hotel you select. If I am not wrong it is actually based in Aussieland. Good luck.

Yes ! take $100 bills, One place that my Wife uses is opp the Indra Regent Hotel
take the over pass turn left down the stairs and look for a place called Tim Tams, if not open you will see silver roller doors, you step down a couple of steps by memory
open about 10am ish
Ask local vendors where money changer? (sort of a secret)
They will lock you in there so no ones sees whats going on!
we used to get a better rate For new $100 bills!
Told MN (x -member) about this place about 5 years back and he said it was like something out of a Maxwell Smart scene.
