I fancy staying at a different hotel, as the Grace seems incapable of responding to my emails to book a suite.
Is this place "guest friendly" and does anyone have anything good or bad to say about this it.

Just checked out this hotel mlay ahead of my trip in November.I will be staying there with my Thai gf but we will be wanting to have some 3somes in our room.Do you know if this place is girl friendly?

I never have a 3somes in this hotel but hotel is guest friendly,they only ask for ID.
Wouhhh !! 3 somes with ur TGF...can i join your room for a 4somes !! lol..
have a nice trip.. Report about 3 somes are welcome aboard..

the federal doesnt look too nice from the pics they show on that side... is it really cleaner and nicer?
does one need to purchase 'double occupancy' to bring girls back with out an added fee?

Spent last week in Bangkok. Arrived Sunday afternoon to find the airport heaving with people. Tried to book Grace at the TAT but they said it was full...checked it out the next day and it was! Went to the Federal on Soi 11 instead. An old haunt of mine but hadn't stayed there for about 5 years. Pretty full but got a room upstairs for B900 all in. You just pay for the room....no joiner charges.
Same old Fed...very guest friendly and as helpful as ever. Changed rooms on Monday, moving to one downstairs overlooking pool (only B800 all in). Room was clean and tidy but a hard bed! Not so many long-term regulars around now and quite a mixed group of guests but the atmosphere is as laid back as ever. Did get that kinda "what sort of hotel is this" look from the wife of a guy checking in when arriving back with 2 BGs one night! Being very guest friendly has its advantages but for any of you guys anticipating problems from jealous ladies remember that girls can get into the Fed pretty much when they want. It has two entrances from the soi, one of which is locked at about 8pm. All in all, it's a good value hotel, good location, nice but small pool, reasonable food in the coffee shop and very friendly staff.

I agree with the last post. Federal is good hotel for the price, clean and good pool and food. Very girl friendly...I had three girls come to my room one night with no problems......they were actually friends and not working but the staff had no way of knowing that and did not hassel them at all.

This is a pretty traditional hotel (for which read it's thankfully still stuck in the '70s and 80s in all the best senses). For example, they still have an operator controlled switchboard! Bills are written out by hand!Credit cards are only accepted for the basic room charge. Have never used e-mail to contact them. Fax does work however as I have used it in the past (66) 02 2535332. Enjoy yourself......
