Everybody on 'Flyer Talk' is using this scam, maybe we can get a 'conga line' going. Expedia UK is giving out 20 pound discounts codes. PM me your e-mail, I'll refer you, you'll get a code for 20 pounds, I'll get a referral code of 40 pounds. Once you're signed up, you can refer your friends and get the 40 pound bribe too. Expedia only wants to give you the 20 pounds once, so book each night separately with a different CC and e-mail. You might have to clean out the cookies between bookings too. Oh Yeah, here's how you work the Expedia 'Best Rate Guarantee'. First, check the internet and find a hotel that's cheaper than Expedia (even 1 cent will do). Then book for 1 night on Expedia. Call them up and tell them it's $5 cheaper on 'Hotels.com' or whatever. They'll take 5 or 10 mins to confirm and then they'll match the price and give you a $50 discount code. Book night 2, enter the code, call them back, and get another $50. Repeat. You can only work it 3 times a calender month though. mfm luvr: Thank you for the heartfelt advice. However I believe I am using my innate talents to get myself and my bangkok2nite brothers a good deal on a hotel for a couple nights. I consider that spending my money wisely. Maybe I framed this wrong. There's no scams involved. We're working within Expedia's rules. When it starts to cost them too much money, they'll end the promotion or change the 'best rate guarantee'. I don't give a shit whether I get anything outta this. I've booked all my hotels already. If you travel a lot, you should check out the Flyer Talk Forums. The members post all the best flight and hotel deals, and ways to accumulate and maximize your frequent flier miles. I wish I had run into it years ago. wj
