I need to book an apartment for a couple of weeks. This one looks appealing to me (the location has its benefits and its downsides, I know). Apart from that, does anyone out there has an information on GF ot the property or other useful advice?

I have stayed at Amanta many times. IMO it really depends on why you are coming to BKK and what you are going to do here. As you might know, Amanta has two towers A and B which can be rented for short and long stay and three other buildings which are condominiums and owned by individuals. Because of this you see many families and children in the common areas such as swimming pool or the restaurant.
The reason I stay at Amanta is that I work in BKK and I need to stay in a quiet place. On the other hand if you are mainly interested in P4P then probably Amanta is not a good choice. IMO this is rather a family place and you might feel a little uncomfortable and singled out if you come with different ladies every day. There are much better choices with comparable prices and standards for P4P in BKK. Having said this, I should add that there are some announcements in the elevators at Amanta which ask the tenants to register their guests so in that sense it is definitely GF.
Let me add that all together I have stayed at Amanta for about 8 months and this is only my personal opinion on the place, of course YMMV.

thanks mates. thatīs all very helpful. basically I am regularly dating a girl that works around the corner (many guesses, all be close to the truth - SL in one of the MPs). for her convinience I wanted to be in the area, but as you know, you cannot count on this anyway. to many options for both make plans obsolete quickly....
on the other hand: is it worthwile staying in Ratchada for surprises or good hangouts to meet all the girls from the soapies after work? maybe that is a naive question but I am a country boy.

Most of the soapie girls from Ratchada go to eat in Huay Kwang right after work but from my experience there after midnight, most are there just for shopping and eating and not to pick up another customer. Its easier to build rapport with a soapie girl and a lot of times they will give you their cell to meet them after work.
