Anyone has experience with Hyatt Erawan? Guest friendly? What is the policy if the girl alone is going up to my room and when she is accompanying me? Is restaurant nice? Anything interesting about Spasso?

Attn all airline employees...
I was goofing around at work and called Hyatt Hotels reservations. I asked them what the airline employee rate was for the Hyatt Grand Erawan. Reservationist quoted me $90/night for 2 people, during the month of August 2003.
Just wanted to pass that information along, hope it helps someone.

But they stop the girl to check her ID -unless you are a frequent guest, they know you and you make a sign to them that it is not necessary to do so.

Is there any updates on whether this hotel is still girl friendly. I presume so since it is listed as girl friendly. I am choosing this hotel for my trip in April instead of westin as it is closer to the main shopping area and more central. Any updates and experiences would be appreciated. It does not bother me that I am not near the nightlife area as closer to the shopping is better for me. It will be fun trip each night to nana or soi cowboy as it is convienently linked by skytrain. There is always taxi or tuk tuk. 5 nights of glory cant wait.

HercX - The Grand Hyatt Erawan remains girl friendly. There is no charge for taking someone to your room. During the day it is no problem for a Thai girl to get up to your room. At night security will ask to see the girl's ID and want to know your room number. They do that only for your security.
Also after midnight you must use your room key to use the elevators. If you should call out for an escort in the middle of the night, they will actually escort her up to your room. No need for you to go down to collect her.
Spasso's is a well known haunt for many working girls and there is a steady stream of traffic up to the rooms each night.
The biggest problem for me at the Grand Hyatt Erawan is that non-working girls hate to be asked for their ID's. It makes them feel like hookers and that is a sure way to kill their desire. I had one TGF once who refused to go to the room because of the ID check. If the security guy knows you or has seen you with the same girl, they will not bother you. My TGF usually checks in with me and is registered in her own name, but is still asked for ID at times by the newer security guys. She goes absolutely ballistic when that happens.
