Hello again all. I will be staying in the Grande Sheraton Sukhumvit in Dec. Is it a guest friendly hotel? Also, the club Riva's, that is inside of this hotel, what is that a place like?
Any info. will help.

Nice hotel, but overpriced for what you get. Have only been to Riva's once. Perhaps more of an older, slightly more affluent crowd. Depends on what you're looking for. In my experience, the hotel is guest-friendly. Hopefully things haven't changed.

I haven't been in Riva's for a few months. Yes there are some girls in there but they are pricing themselves at what they think the business guests will pay.
I guess sometimes they get lucky, but you can find similar girls in other bars at less than half the asking price in that disco

Try the Sunday bruch at the Sheraton Grande Sukhumvit. For me the treat after a heavy Satuday evening!! One of the better bruches offered in BKK.

I went at this hotel in August and I could bring a BG into my room without hassle. Just use the lifts at the ground floor (not the lobby), the security guard will just say good night.
No, the hotel is not overpriced, you get really great service, especially if you have a SPG Platinum card!
The Saturday hi-tea buffet is a real temptation!
Wish I were there...
