Which hotel is better overall? I sometime see 3-4 stars for each. Can't find much info on the Fortune but it's only 35$/night compared to 50$ for the Amari B. How about guest friendly data?

No idea of Fortune either, but I like the Amari Boulevard. Very guest-friendly. Never bothered me at all, and rooms are new and super clean. Morning breakfast is pretty good too.

Amari is not really guest friendly...
there is always a guy at the elevator checking your name, room too see if u are booked as double.
Problem is, if u take diff girls each nite and stay for a long time, they might charge u a ladyfee coz its a diff girl registered..
then again.. sometimes they do close one eye...
still... a nice hotel..... nice breakfast... and near to everything !

I agree wit Goober, Amari is not really guest friendly but they tolerate it if you book double. I stayed there once with a real girlfriend (thai) foor a few days as we were inn town for a local venue so she registered together with me. I felt it was very much appreciated by the staff that we were proper couple and not a one-night stand.
It may only have been a feeling with me me though.
As you day the location is very good. Can anyone give a comparison in overall standard between Amari Boulevard and Grace?

Fortune hotel is guest friendly. Just make sure you book double. At night, the security guard at the elevator have the list (not sure what is) in his hand. When you get to the elevator with your guest, he will ask your room number and check in the list. The hotel is off the center, but then the taxi is cheap. It is a tourist hotel.

I would take the Majestic suite which is few minutes from both hotels and located right next to Nana. Better rooms, better food and very guest friendly. Just book the double and price is a around 35 to 40 US dollars depend on which site you used to book the hotel. Good Value and good service

Fortune tower a little way out, on Ratchada, - maybe a tad past its best, but for location, big rooms, the Ambassador tower wing is hard to beat, and normally will do a weekly rate of 7,700 bt.
