What would be the best value/quality hotel in BKK? I would like to spend $30-$40 per night and like the place near good MPs, Go Go bars, and pick-up bars :).

The Tai-Pan Hotel still gets my vote. I'd say my standard room 'felt' more like a deluxe in many hotels as it WAS just 'that spacious' and well appointed.
