it is very guest friendly. the staff is excellent. I've stayed there during each of my previous trips. I'm not staying there this time around mainly because I wanted to try different ones this time (Nana and Majestic). But if something goes wrong, Grand Inn is always my reliable backup. Nana to NEP: 2 minute. Majestic to NEP: 3 minute. Grand Inn to NEP: 5 minute.

they are about 900 baht for a standard size room. As far as quality of the room, I think it's better than the Nana standard 1000 baht room. But Grand Inn doesn't have the lobby view of Nana Hotel either. They have something slightly bigger for 1500 Baht or so. But it's just slightly bigger room along with a table and chairs. I think they have something below the standard's size room and cost. Something like 700 Baht. But have never tried those.

I can't seem to contact the Grand Inn. Anyone have a current contact address. Got no response from their website. Does their safe have 24 hour access? Important to me cause I'll be checking out at 5AM and want a honey in my room the last night but dont want my money and passport available to be ripped off.
Also everyone talks about the area being an African/Arab area, is it reallyb that much different than the area directly next to NEP?

Grand inn - crapt rooms ,stayed there last April,old carpet and furnish but it's ok for sanook ...most of the stuff is ok ,friendly but they have one bitch in the reception name Moon that like to insult the ladies (ofcourse she's doing this in Thai ) . one time one lady almost kick her...
