Are the hotels with a 5 Star rating and over $100 US dollars a night truely 1st class?? Is there a Huge difference in Quality in a $100+ a night hotal like the Landmark compared to say Nana which is around 40 Us a night. I like to stay at Nana prices BUT I Can not accept a Unhealthy room( water damage, excesive uncleansiness ,Broken showers or toiletsECT ECT) I dont want any funky smelling rooms if you know what i mean

Authentic 5 star hotels in Bangkok are equal to any hotels anywhere in the world and indeed are often rated by top organizations as some of the very best in the world. The Oriental consistently rates at no 1 or near it, depending on which survey you perfer,as does the newer but equally good Peninsula.

I have stayed at JW Marriott in BKK and at many Marriott's in the USA. There is no comparison. The JW Marriott is far superior than those in the USA. The only complaint I had was that the spa in the health club was not hot enough, but I found this to the general rule for spas at other places in BKK.

the mariott is simply a great place and very girl friendly.
the Sheraton as well and you have inhouse service in Rivas (but take care of the pricing)

Sheraton Royal Orchid is a 5 star hotel and I've stayed there for $80USD including taxes, service and breakfast during the low season. I've stayed at the Westin Bayuon Tree in 1999 for $55. Both 5 star and well worth what I paid. I'm staying at the Sheraton RO in April. BG loove sitting on the couch in the living room overlooking the river(BG thinkin I landed on the mother ship of walking ATM) drinking Mekong, listening to soft music and I looove gitting laid 2 days and I AM COUNTING

I hope we're in LOS in April at the same time, I missed you in oct last year according to slojo. You had just left for Pattaya when I came in town. As far as 5 stars, I never booked or stayed in them in LOS but have visited friends that did while there. I can say just from that, they do rate equaly with those elsewhere in the world. French Rivieara, Costa Rica Lorrett De Mar ,Munich...
