I've just booked myseld in Dynasty Inn located in Soi 4 Sukhumvit for 30th Jan.
Never stayed there before...any personal views on this place before I actually get there?

I have stayed one night at Dynasty Inn during November and I found it okay for the rate I have paid. Furthermore it is close to NEP and opposite an internet shop which is very convenient.

I have stayed at Dynasty Inn several times. Both standard and superior rooms. never had a problem there. If you go to Pattaya there is a Dynasty Resort hotel, which is excellent. Dynasty inn Bangkok will provide a free ride to Pattaya if you are staying in there hotel. hope this info helps bro!

The reason why I picked this hotel was because it was listed as girl friendly. Just to check from your personal experiences is this true?

You are welcome! As for Dynasty Inn being girl friendly, yep it is. The TG will have to leave her ID at the reception, but this is common at so many other hotels, too. Enjoy your stay and... the girls!

Slojo: I stay at the Dynasty everytime I am in BKK. I did not know that they had standard and superior rooms. What is the difference in a standard and superior and what is the cost of both. I have always paid 990 baht per night.

Dynasty has a new wing at the rear of the hotel. last time I stayed there was in oct and they told me it had been open for 3 wks. you are right about standard room being 990bht. the superior room is 1400bht and it is a larger room. Have you stayed at Dynasty in Pattaya? not sure if you are aware of it or not, BKK Dynasty offers free shuttle service to and from Pattaya as long as you use hotel at either location.

dynasty is okay, it offers now a outside seating area for smokers. internetshop opposite is quite expensive. the one at coffee world around the corner is cheaper.
the one opposite is only that expensive as the gg's get free translation and typing.
dynasty resort offers shuttle bus, but I heard only one way.

It is quiet possible you did get a room for 800bht! maybe there was a new lady working the desk. I never get that kind of luck. I stayed there in Dec 2001 and they charged me 1100bht for standard room, maybe that was because of christmas. Who knows?
