That's a second try. Has anybody experience with the trinity silom hotel in patpong, concerning general quality and, of course, attitude against bringing friends in? Unfortunately there is nothing about patpong area in this forum.

Trinity Silom used to be a good hotel about 3 years ago
But now its a real dump. I stayed there in 2000 and
everything was ok but not great.Last year I went back
there it was crap. My advice, choose another hotel.

I have stayed at several fine hotels in the ppong area. The Montien, 50 yards from Patpong, great food, good rooms, pool, gym etc. Guest friendly. This is my first choice.
Next in line, all good, all guest friendly, Monarch Lee, Narai, Tower Inn.
MUST!!! Get the hotel thru a BKK agent. This is the cheapest way. Can save up to 50% this way.

over songkran period & enjoyed hotelthailand.com deluxe double room rate of 1500bt incl. the usual uninspiring ABF.
Various other booking sites has trinity incl R24.org as the cheapest...
Plus sides are good sized room w/ well working a/c, bathtub even small, large mirror (s), ok tv, large 10th floor pool w/ diving board! tennis court (for a charge) & perfectly guestfriendly with double room booking (no check of ID).
Location great for BTS (chong nonsee 3 minutes), convent, patpong, sathorn etc. Some tourbuses seen & a mix of western & asian tourist clientiele.
Also worth a though the suites at reasonable cost?
Minus could be the standard worn down rooms I hear so stear clear unless on very tight silom budget.
Also 'western' ABF not hard to miss as poor apart perhaps from freshly cooked omelets & expressos.

Stayed at Tawana Ramada last summer, about 3 minutes from Patpong. Older hotel, but well furnished, good breakfast buffet. Stayed there 5 days, and was stopped once by security (Sat night) trying to bring a girl in. They wanted to charge me a joiner fee, but I protested that I had booked for 2 people and they let the girl register on the spot. Brought different girls on other nights and was not stopped.
I believe the rate was about 2500 for this 4-star property, with newspaper delivered under the door each morning.
