I stayed there in 1999 and it was girl friendly then,provided you had booked a double. With a single room theu were charging 300B as a guest fee.
The hotel itself was fine, massive rooms, but a little bit out of the way, not necessarily a bad thing. I'd say it is OK if you'll spend most of your time in the Silom/Patpong areas otherwise something in Suk'vit is better.
I'd booked for the place on the internet - don't remember the rate now but it was a little cheaper than the walk-in rate. However they did let me extend my stay at the same as the internet rate one my original few days was over.
All in all a pretty OK place for the money at the ime but as said it was over 3 years ago

This used to be a favorite of mine, mainly because my GF lives in Thonburi and this is convenient to the Saphan Thaksin (Sathorn Bridge).
That said, doesn't mean I liked it very much. Over time it became worse and worse value for money.
The rooms below (I think) the 13th floor have not been renovated and stink like hell. The lighting is fluorescent, the ceilings are suspended tiles (like an office building), the rooms are dirty, the carpet is purple and the furniture freakin' pink! Yes, the rooms are huge, and doing the act on the little balcony can be fun, but jeez. Really a shocker.
The rooms above 13 are sometimes not bad. Decor is light grey, they have halogen lighting, and the bathrooms are actually quite nice. However, you can't get these usually through the internet. And the staff gets pissy if you ask to move up there.
The restaurant on I think the 3rd floor has a fairly decent breakfast buffet. I have had some run-ins with the staff both in the restaurant and the lobby in particular. Check out here is a real pain in the ass. There is only one gal authorized to do checkouts and god help you if she is not working at that particular minute.
To me, the best part of staying here is the gym on the top floor. It's certainly not new equipment, but it is never crowded, and the equipment range is good.
The location is a bit of a bummer except it is close to Chong Nonsi BTS and the Thai Airways office.
I usually paid B1,300, but then they jacked it to B1,700 in July 2002 on me suddenly, so I quit staying there. Cape House and Chateau de Bangkok, where I was able to get corporate rates at exactly the same price, were much better value for money. Unfortunately they have now increased their prices, so again I am in search of a good standby with convenient access to Thonburi.
In terms of guest friendliness, I think they are ok. Never troubled my GF, but she isn't a bargirl and doesn't look like one, so I guess they didn't treat her like a "temporary guest".
There must be better values out there than this place.

I’m sorry for writing in such an old topic but this is just in case that someone does a search for Tower Inn.
I’ve lived there in Feb. and Mar. 03, and cannot agree with most of the above mentioned, maybe I was just lucky then.
Girlfriendly – We mostly slept 4 persons in our twin room without a problem. One time we even had a small party. Maybe this was only possible because we knew the hotel's economy "manager" (she was something like that), I don’t know. And by the way most of the people visiting us weren't prositutes, Maybe that had some saying too.
Hotel – Cable TV, really good bathrooms, the beergarden, the pool, the breakfast and the rooms are just great. (I lived on the 9. floor).
The rate is 1600 at the moment and I think this is good valued,

Oh, the memories! Stayed there my first two visits to LOS. Rooms are big, pool on the roof. They had a sign at the desk that said "Joiner Fee 500 baht", but they never charged me. Don't know if the sign is still there, haven't stayed there in 6 years.
I left postcards at the desk to mail to my mom and sister. They received them 6 months later.

Had a look here last year. Much better can be found for same Baht. It might have been a replacement for me for the Royal President, when they were trying to up the prices for a while (now OK again), but no comparison. Too old and absolutely very dated decor.
