i'm hitting bkk for a couple of nights next week and had the damnedest time finding a room in sukhumvit. Ýfinally got a decent rate for a hemingway club room at the zenith hotel on soi 3. Ý(hopefully, a hemingway club room will have stuffed animals in it  ) any members stay in this hotel before?
btw, my last visit to bkk on my month-long thailand trip in early march will have me staying at the jw. Ýthat place rocks in case anyone was wondering.

Yes a lot has been posted about the Zenith being a nice hotel (quality wise), but TOTALLY GUEST/GIRL UNFRIENDLY.
Use the "Search" for Zenith.
I stayed there a few times and didn't like their attitude towards any of the the Thai girls, (Girlifriends or BGs).
Even when I booked in with my TG at the same time, I still had hassels when we came back later at night with her, from the f_ckin bell boys/security.
Once had one of the c....ts get in the lift with us, he refused to get out and followed us all the way up the the room, talking to her in Thai. (Now this really upsets the girls and f_ck up you mood for later.)
10 mins later, the night manager rang the room and said "You have lady in room, cost 500 Baht", and this was my TG that had checked in with me.
ADVICE: FIND A BETTER GUEST FRIENDLY HOTEL

I had already crapped out with a half dozen hotels and had to make a quick decision without enough time to search for relevant threads. No big deal. I'm only in BKK one night and will stay at the JW Marriott when I return later in the week.
BTW, I have a Hemingway room at the Zenith. It's pretty nice - the bathroom's a little run down. They also have a notice in the room telling you it will cost you 500 baht for an overnight guest and they reserve the right to deny admittance, yada, yada.

I agree the Zeneth is very unfriendly, had the same experience, the manager calling the room, coing up and lots of hassle, not worth it when the goall is to have fun. ÝThe Majestic is much better (MUCH!).

This hotel has gone so far as to install a surveillance system in common areas, hallways and elevator. Not sure whether their low-profile cameras were installed in other locations

Well...after reading all my personell opinion is that if you are getting a decent room in such a good price than what is the problem of paying extra B500....anyway its just a tip we guys are paying for a extra HJ.

Any updates on this hotel being GF? I am staying 1 night and ariving bk at 12:05am. What do you guys suggest for dealing with the hotel? Can I even get through customes, to the hotel, checked in and get a girl before the bar closes? If its not possible I wont even worring about paying the extra 500...
If it is possible can I just pay the 500 up front and not deal with the hassel?
