Used the Narai a couple of weeks ago for LT with my favourite Patpong number.
It certainly WAS guest friendly - reception guys (at c12.30am) didn't even need the young lady to check in. I'd booked a room for 2 pax to be on the safe side, but they didn't seem to check that either - just waved us straight through to the lifts.
Narai's not great - bottom-end 4 star, I'd judge. Rooms look the part for an international-class hotel, but a bit frayed around the edges. Good value, though - less than B2k for a room if you book through a BKK travel agent. All told, an option I'll certainly use again for pre-planned PP encounters.

hi, any recent updates on this place? Looks pretty good value, but is it still GF (assuming I book a double of course) ?Seems there was some debate about this...

Personally prefer the triple two, located next door and (I believe) owned by the same people, as you can use the facilities of the Narai.
Doesn't have a pool or gym (but as I said you can use the Narai for that if you wish) but the rooms are much nicer and larger and it is very guest friendly. They have a big DVD library and if I remember correctly, you can borrow them free of charge. Restaurant there quite nice too.
All in all a much more peasant place to stay. Bit more expensive though.
