Am arriving Tuesday the 11th for 3 wks and don't have a place to stay yet. Any suggestions? Medium priced hotel with A/C, guest friendly and close to the action. Also which is the best massage place and Bar for mongering in area. Also Is there an internet cafe nearby?

the only question I can surely answer is. Yes there are internet cafes all over the place. walk 3 blocks and you should see one...at what time do you arrive on the 11th?

If you want to medium priced, which to me is around $50 U.S, then check out Lotus Novotel.

Nice rooms and very close to the action. The street the hotel is on has many bars/smaller clubs. I am not talking about go go bars .. mind you. So, you will see many female walking on the street, as well as outside the clubs/bars.
The sky train entrance is also right around the corner and Emporium shopping center is within walking distance.
There is a sudo-internet cafe in the bowling alley next door.
I would suggest you take a cab and visit the see Ratchdapisek Road area. You will find many MP's on that long road for you to chose from. I would suggest going to Emmanuelle, Mirage, Caesars, or Poseidon. Which are all located on this road.

For Go Go bars, you should hit Soi Cowboy, as well as Nana Plaza. I'm not a huge fan of Patong.
If you go visit Soi Cowboy then the Go Go bar "Long Gun" is a must.

Where do you want to stay? I have stayed in the Silom area..... Trinity Hotel... 1600B a nite... about $38.00 USD, and you are near all the action in the Silom area. I have stated in the Sukhumvit area at the Honey Hotel... 950B a nite... about $23.00 a nite... next to a great traditional MP (no sex), but one block from Soi Cowboy, and a short walk to NANA. Hotels were very good I though.... although Honey does not have an elevator. When I go back, I will use these places. Near HONEY is the Times Square building... great Internet cafe on the 2nd floor. Near Trinity is the Silom area... Good internet cafe across from the coffee shop and stairway up to the train. Let me know if you have any q's.... email is: califdann@aol.com
