Looking for a new BKK Suk area hotel Just stayed at the Grand Pres but didn't like the night walk to Suk! Can anybody compare the rooms/service etc between the Majestic and Gran Pres. The Grand Pres was a bit too noisy at night. Customer base indicates that issue! Are the Majestic guestes more considerate.

Aloha. Haven't stayed at the GP. Just returned from my 1st trip to BKK. Only was able to stay 3 nights. Stayed @ Majestic (last Thur.,Fri.,Sat.). Had a double deluxe room @ 1865/night. Pleased w/ hotel & very pleased w/ the staff. Room was basic, but really pretty clean. A/C was great, man, felt super after the sweltering heat outside. Bed is just double, not queen/king, so 3 might be difficult overnight, @ least for me(6'3"/275lbs.). I didn't try, actually happier 1 on 1. Worst thing was that water never got hot. Mildly warm was it. Warm enough to shower, but didn't want in to stay longer than needed. Staff very friendly/helpful. No problem w/girls whatsoever. Great location! Nana Plaza immediately around the corner. Beer Garden/ Eden very near. Lots of pool halls nearby, Brunswick/Hillary/New Wave/Bamboo. You could even walk to Cowboy Street if you wanted, I mean I would never do it, but if you really wanted to, you could. If you're on someone else's dime, I, personally, would stay at a nicer place. But @ 1865(under $45USD) I think it is a great value. I would recommend it highly & I'd be happy to stay there again
