Hey bro, I just went through the Travelodge website again and the first thing that got my attention, other than how ordinary and plain the rooms look, was the fact that they use the word family an awful lot on their main page. I rather doubt that this would be the ideal place to bring the kind of "guest" that you probably have in mind  . Peace

Aren't there two Ruamchitt's? One above Thermae and one across on the other side of Sukhumvit. Came across something on a website about poor security at one of them. Maybe the Lodge is across the road. Never stayed there but difficult to believe the one above Thermae wouldn't be friendly.

Yes, there are two Ruamchitts. The one over the Thermae is called the Ruamchitt Plaza Hotel and they are super guest-friendly. They really don't give a crap who you bring in. They might ask the girl(s) to leave their ID's at the front desk, and sometimes they might not! No matter what, never a joiner's fee.

My usual hotel in BKK riased their prices and lowered their service level so I went scouting in the Nana area for a new hotel. I looked at the Nana Inn (not Nana Hotel) on a recomendation. I was really surprised at how nice it was for 850 Baht. Big rooms with a balcony and a microwave. Nice big beds. It's on the other side of Sukimvit just past the Grace hotel on the other side of the street.

Hi ps02 -
I stayed at the Raumchitt above the Thermae in March for a few days, and was charged a joiner fee of 250B every time I brought a guest in.
After paying this three times, I got pissed off and moved to the Street 1 Lodge on Soi 1, which was exactly half the price and gave me no hassles at all. It's also a lot quieter, being a couple of blocks off Sukhomvit.
