Did any of you ever stay at Malaysia Hotel? Is it girl friendly? What about hotel quality, i mean the room, the services, ... ? As it is quite cheap (750b. for double room), i guess quality is not at the top.

A friend of mine used to stay there all time until he got fed up with all the rent boys, used to be a freelancer hangout years ago, now its seems to be mainly a gay rent boy scene, also this area is notorious for drugs and not very nice people.

i stayed there in may 2003,paid 500 baht per night.allowed to take 2 girls as long as they sign in.
dont worry about the gay tag.i only saw a few gay lads ith farang men.staff really nice,as were the cleaners.however it was fully booked in jan 2004,and was 900 baht.15 mins walk from silom.

I stayed there a couple of times in 1986/1987.
Very old legendary hotel. I think the rooms at that time were about 200 baht per night.
In that area (Thung Mahamek) there are a lot of cheap guesthouses.
Good if you like Patpong. The coffeeshop used to be famous (full with freelancers day and night) and raided every week or so.
Girl friendly.
