Does anyone have any information on the Ambassador Royal Suites? It's right next door to the Ambassador hotel. The rooms look pretty good on the web site. I've heard mixed reviews on the Ambassador hotel and their guest policy, wondering if the Royal Suites is guest friendly.

The Ambassador Royal Suite look on picture marvelous,
but the building never been used for atleast 5 yrs.

I got a rate at the Ambassador Royal Suite for 10,000 THB per week for a 1 BR, 54 sqm unit. This is NOT the Ambassador Hotel, it is across the street.

I'm wavering between this place and the Royal President (I got a rate for about the same room and cost). The Royal President is good, but the pool sucks.
I should have checked this place out on my last visit, but forgot. If anyone has seen the Ambassador Royal Suite, and especially the condition of the pool, let me know.

Judging by website there appears to be no pool for the Suites, but you can use the Ambassador Hotel pool. I have been told the hotel pool is very good.

Their web site does say you can use the facilities at the Ambassador Hotl, but it also makes reference to pool and facilities on the 8th floor. Whether this is the 8th floor of the hotel, I don't know. That's why I was wondering if someone knew the property or had stayed there.

The Ambassador Royal Suites have longer stay larger suite type rooms; clean large bathrooms with tubs n showers, king sized beds with smaller older style tv sets, a front room kitchenette with no microwave or cooking units but fridge is large, with sink, just a part of the older Ambassador convention center complex. Pool is across the wing and is nice but nothing special but can get massage and food too; food and pubs are downstairs also a nice small live music bar where girls love to drink and eat; Dickens Pub. I got a summer 14 day rate around 15000 baht. Before the fire that gutted the center buidling where the concrete slab is it must of been mega huge like Jomtien one.

StrayGypsy, thanks for the good info. I checked this place out in January. Everything you said is what I saw. This property seems "old" to me. It has not been remodeled in quite awhile.
Compared to the Grand President 1BR units, the GP is much nicer and much better amenities. Compared to the Royal President Court Wing: The RP is definitely better and nicer. The Court Wing of the RP is also across the street from the pool 
I love the GP, but I love the price of the 1BR units at the Court Wing of the RP.
Also, the pool for the Ambassador Royal Suite is at the Ambassador, which is across the street.
