I stayed there 4 a spell last month. I'd give it a just "okay" rating. Walked in and was quoted 1900 baht As I recall and booked it online at 1400. AT 11-1200bt I mighta liked it more (dunno). No problems at all on guests. They apparently have/had a big Japanese businessmen clientelle and staffed the front desk with some Japanese nationals to service them so front desk staff is very discreet and professional eg. no walks of shame, no joiners (assuming dbl booked), no asking 4 IDs. Rooms are kinda run down but in the middle of being upgraded to very nice appearances. Push HARD! for a newly re-modeled room. They might not let them go at the included websites cheap rate though (I bet).
ABF ~ Food was average or a bit below by my reckoning.
Housekeeping~ Very lazy! Got Ironing? Better plan a day ahead, at least, as in drop it off at 10am we'll have it back to you the following day. Iron/Ironing boards in-room to let? Forget it! Doesn't exist.
Never checked out the pool or other amenities. The hotel is kinda deep into the soi (from Sukhumvit) with many Japanese only clubs nearby and directly across the street from the Imperial Queens Park Hotel so you could cut thru the back and take the park shortcut to Emporium if you wanted to walk it. Otherwise there are always many taxis and moto-taxis about.

Stayed there xmas 2001, terrible attitude from staff to your 'guests' Every time I went back with a girl was jumped on and had to sign a form for joiner fee, 300 I think. Not only that but the form states you agree not to let the girl use there precious pool.
I got the room with a flight but you can book it cheap. I would never stay there again, apart from the miami JP is my least favourite Suk hotel and I have stayed at about 25 others-peter

Geez Thai3! What a crock! Maybe the business they've lost since then has 'lightened 'em up' a bit. They were jsut the opposite with me in early June of this year.
Reminds me of what I went thru a few days before at Regency Park Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 22 there they tried to hit me up for a 500bt joiner fee per girl irrespective of how many per day you brought in. And that was still after having booked a double. Man was I pissed at that one.

That was first week of July. At first things were okay as I was on my second day of a three day 'affair' with an NEP gal. I'd put her on the registry with me and all was well. Three days later I got a new girl on my arm and they ask for 500bt joiner. I'd booked double but it didn't matter in their eyes. We had a long and detailed examination of their policy and I was told 500bt/girl/day.
Otherwise I liked the place a lot- food was good, room was nice, location on the soi great and the atrium gave it a very nice ambiance. Only dissapointing features were the somewhat puny pool and the somewhat moldy rooms (I tried 2 rooms on ground floor and still was moldy).

Yeah right... I paid exactly 450 baht per night for a double through a Priceline so the B500 looks really ridiculous... Will report how it went once I get back.

many moons ago stayed there, as they say life is a learning experience....The guests were then 200 baht, and thats years back ....the place is substandard, but from memory on budget well placed, and food ok, pool shit infact pass i got fever from it....the staff are f_cked, except the bar staff and resturant.....girls are treated poorly, and the over all attitude is like bel -aire princess, where they want to be better but are pretenders......i started to pay more and move on ....

Well, latest "news". I have to stay 'cause of my employers have a deal with'em: 800 BHT a night with breakfast! That's good for them but for me it is nothing. Girls? Forget that unless you already have booked a twin. But can I? I once wanted to show a real girl friend (the staff should know the difference) something in my room - no, not what you may think, only some pix on my PC about family. But they refused. It was past midnight! I think if we would have come at 10:05 p.m. the policy had been "past 10 p.m.".
Prefer Leela Inn. Only benefit in JP: has hot water for tea bags - if you have any.
