I have read thru all the posts of these two hotels and am still unable to decided which one.
Ambassador seems much nicer but don't know conclusively about their guest policy. If I book a Double Room on the Tower wing am I home FREE?
Grace has the Coffee shop thats a great pick up join but after hearing about the BG Murder etc. Is this still back to the old swing of things?
Please advice

Another question about the Ambassador. I tried making a reservation from this site and when I selected double room.
They want the full name of each guest who will stay in the room.
Guys its going so be some hottie each night - what did you guys do? Just gave a dumb name like Mrs. X
Or it does not really matter

Just give a girls name, any name and then upon arrival explain that she decided not to come to LOS. Shit happens!
Don't worry too much about it. Just enjoy LOS.
I shall be staying at Ambassador ( 4 first time) 20th & 21st, Sept and again (if I like the place) 25-27th. Maybe see you there.

Hey thanx for the heards up I will go ahead and make the reservation. I will be there on Oct 19th for a day and leave on Oct 20.
Then I will be back on Nov 9/10 and stay till Nov 12. I don't think you will be around during those dates, however if you are then we may run into each other.

They wanted the lady's name? I'd try another hotel booking site that's been recommended before. I booked online and have never been asked that before unless it's a new policy now.

Actually I tried a number of different sites and almost all of them seem to want the full name of the guests who will occupy the room.
I guess its a damn security preaution or some shit. I don't think they really care. However when you are checking in they will probabily correct this if you are checking in with someone, if you are a forigner then they will ask for passport.
So real big deal as long as they say "HEY you said the guest's name was JANE and now some thai chick called BOOM " is checking in with you.
Like how airlines don't allow names to be changed on reservations.

hello all
I wonder if you checked into the Manhatten double rooms. I never had a single problem bringing in girls and was never asked for names. The one thing I like about this hotal above everything else is the IN ROOM SAFES. I never have to bug the front to acsess my stuff Its all in the room. I also liked the breakfast and the pool so Look into it if you wish

Agreed. That is why I an booked back into Manhattan again later this month. never any guest problems if booked double.

Last month, Manhattan hotel was fully booked so I stayed at Ambassador. Tower rooms are better and bigger than Manhattan but don't have room safes.
I was booked double in Ambassador, and walked past securutiy many times, at different hours, and was never challenged. I was always with TG, so I would assume that Ambassador is guest friendly.

Damn: Got respose back from Ambassador that they have no rooms available for Oct 19th. I canno belive it. Mabe its tha damn APEC meeting in Bankok, it sucks now I am back to square one and - maybe I have to try to get Grace now and they don't have online reservations.
