This might be a ridiculous question, but do LOS prostitutes treat you any differently when you stay in a low budget vs a high budget hotel (amount you pay them being constant)? I was thinking about Flipper house, then Tim's, but wonder if I'll get less enthusiasm at Tim's.

Not really. Like most things it is WHERE you shop that sets the price rather than where you "live". Expect to pay more for a Soi 33 girl than for a Soi 7 Beergarden girl regardless of where you stay.
Agree with RTB that if you are in the Landmark rather than the Manhattan she may automatically expect a bigger tip.

Depends entirely on the type of girl, I'd say.
I think most of them don't care at all. Doesn't take long for them to work out that 'rich' doesn't necessarily mean 'generous to BGs'. OK, some of the more mercenary ones might decide to make more of an effort for an obviously loaded guy - say if they think there's a chance of converting a one-off LT into a lucrative week in Phuket or, better still, a high-rolling sponsorship deal.
Of course, all that means is that you've picked the wrong kind of BG (unless bitches are your thing).
If the girl already knows you, I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference. I've taken the same girls to the Woraburi and 5-star hotels - and concluded that they just don't value luxurious surroundings highly at all. Same applies to swank restaurants - most are just as happy (if not happier) at much homelier joints.
Anyway, I think spending a lot of money like this just to impress your BG is a complete waste of resources. If you really want to impress her for future reference, then pay her a bit on the generous side. Otherwise, in terms of getting the best out of her, your best bet is to concentrate on giving her a sanuk night out (sanuk in HER terms, of course). If she's happy and likes you, it really won't matter where you sleep. Same applies if she thinks you're an obnoxious jerk.

Yeah, regarding restaurants. I've noticed my TGF seems far more relaxed and happy standing by a roadside Isaan food cart chatting with the vendor than trying to figure out the correct sequence of forks at a posh restaurant. She appreciates both, but the sanuuk factor for her is higher in the simple things that won't single her out in a Hiso crowd. It let's her be her.

Let me just add that you should do whatever you are comfortable with yourself. If you are a simple cot and washbasin guy, no reason to put on airs, since if you actually get to know her, your BG will figure out who you are anyway.
If you think a BG will care initially, you need to read this site and others more carefully: it is about your CASH, not whether you are handsome or have good taste in room decorations. Money.
Of course, if you are looking for a soulmate, the above still applies. You want someone who shares your lifestyle. I might add that you are swimming upstream, against the odds, if you expect to find one in a bar...
Basically, treat them nicely, be yourself, and you'll find your way.

Reminds me of this BG that i took to my hotel. Was still a newbie, and had agreed on 5,000 B LT. Paid the barfine and took her to my hotel on Ratchada. The hotel is more like a motel, similar to PB Hotel, it's called Baron Hotel (near the Chinese Embassy), it was only 450 B/night. When the BG saw the state of the room, she said, "thanks but no thanks" and left. I saved my 5,000 B.

absolutely, rule one...hotel will affect the s approach. In a dump , they evaluate it as an experience with little prospect, other than fee, and maybe another time..big hotel, nice surroundings, its 50% more a try on, they play for you, and it reflects in the also...dg

Of course, in swank restaurants BGs may well feel out-of-place, self-conscious and uncomfortable. No reason for this kind of reaction when they're alone with you in a hotel room - at least, I've never encountered it. I think most of them are just completely indifferent. When BGs are delighted and/or impressed, they usually let you know all about it.
I had one girl in Hua Hin who I took back to the Sofitel Central (imho, one of the few smart hotels in LOS worth paying for). She went into raptures over the topiary garden - performed a most delightful little dance in the moonlight in front of the elephant. About the room itself (which I thought was several cuts above the 5* average), she couldn't have cared less.
HS is obviously right - if you're on holiday, stay in places which suit YOU. I know that in the days when I could easily afford upmarket hotels (now I'm mainly reliant on freebies), I could only tolerate them for a short time before seeking out somewhere a lot homelier, friendlier and more authentic. Imho, big 4/5* hotels are very nice in small doses, but most of them have all the local charm and ambience of an international airport. OK, service is usually superior in LOS, but other than that you could be anywhere.
