Hi, any you guys stopped in Bel Aire recently, im booked in for feb 04 in a double room. Heard that it charges joiners fee, and sometimes it doesnt? Also I see of the map it seems quite a decent location for a first timer alone in bkk. Near to beer bars, nep, etc.

Location is good but never stayed there due to reports that is was not guest friendly. Friend stayed there 6 months ago and said it was a good hotel in all the other ways that don't matter a damn to me.

Make sure that the room is booked as a double and if they ask at checkin about your partner tell them she`s arriving later.
If its a single booking they will charge you 800 bht J/F
if you bring back a tg.
I know as it happened to me about a year ago.I dont stay there anymore.

I stayed there in May this year, and I took my Escort back to the room without any problems or charges maybe I was just lucky. It is an excellent Hotel though.

I stayed there in March 03 and booked a double room in advance. The first night I took a girl back they tried to charge a joining fee but when I stated I had booked a double room they waived the fee. On subsequent nights they never asked for a joining fee. They always took the girl's ID and in the morning telephoned from reception to make sure everything was OK before returning the ID. It seemed girl friendly but I got the impression that most guests were not bringing girls back to the hotel.

I have two nights booked at Bel Aire Princess in June 2005 as part of a flight deal with Thai Airways. Any up-to-date news on its guest policy, or should I just upgrade my room from single to double? Should I even consider giving the Bel Aire a miss and staying at the Honey, where I would normally stay, instead. Cheers.

Stayed there in April 2004. Booked a double standard and didn't have any problems with order or take in's. ID was kept on entry of the guests. Great breakfast. Enjoy

As a former Travel Agent it is my opinion that the Bel Aire is everything but girl friendly.
Also booking of double rooms (with a different co stayer) is
next to impossible.
