hi there guys im off to bangkok in 2 weeks and I have been looking at staying at the mandarin hotel at
662 rama IV rd,soilom in bangkok I ahve rad that this place is not girl friendly or even they have given previous customers wifes hard times as being gogo girls.
and I am planing to stay at the nova lodge at pattaya
central pattaya rd.is this girl friendly.
how are these hotels.
i cant seem to find there phone numbers on the net and I see that we can only book though other company websites which I think this would be more expensive than the origonal price.
does any body know were I could get these hotel phone number and should I book on the net befor I go.
what do you think.
do you recomend renting a car in thai land as I was concerned if I hav heaps of shopping and im in town I wont need to go all the way to the hotel and come back.

I doubt that the prices of the mass booking sites are higher than the walk-in price or direct booking price.

Once ( 2 Years Back) I arrived at Bangkok on a week day night, it was near midnight when I got to the Mandarin Hotel. This was supposed to be a three day biz trip.
Hotel was booked by my clerk, who actually seemed to had a great deal on this hotel...
It was a shocker when I checked in
Went into the room, hmm satin bed covers ( or was it the lights...) ? one small TV, paper thin walls, err very narrow desk.
Wonder how it is surviving now.
Took a peek into the bathroom, there was a roach, upside down kicking the bucket.
Took five minutes, called for a limo from Novotel Bangna and went off..
Just wondered if there was any improvements recently to this place. UTSE does not turn anything up...
That was when I found out that Novotel Bangna was not GF, when I was settling down at 1.30 am, a poor tourist was being hassled to have the girl to get out of his room.
