I've read posts and noticed that some TG go through peoples belongings and take stuff. I know a safe can protect your belongings, whether its at the desk or in the room. If there is no safe in the room and you want to keep that stuff in your room, how have some people secured important items? I was thinking about putting my essential items in a suitecase and locking it, but I don't know if TG can pick a lock. I'm not sure how much effort a TG would make.

It's easier to steal something with a lock on it and smash it open later than it is to pick the lock. For bigger things your suitcase should be okay and maybe add a safety cable and padlock to chain it to something immobile. For smaller things, like a wad of banknotes, put 'em in an envelope and tape it behind the bathroom sink from underneath. Or nest them inside three ziplock bags sucking the air out as you go, weight with coins and toss into the toilet tank. If the hanger bar in the closet is a removable hollow metal tube, you could use that also.

Buy extra large shirts and pants. Duct Tape everything you own that's valuable, to your body, for the duration of your trip. Be sure to remove them before you go thru airport security on the way home. (For those with extra body hair be prepared for some serious pain management.) Works for me

Montydog The Pac-safe seems like an ingenious idea. Do you know if it can be bought in BKK? I travel a lot and even high-end hotels often do not have in-room safes. Putting all the valuables in the safes at reception can be a pain particularly when you bring a cutie home and afterwards go to pay her only to discover all that folding stuff in your pocket is the wrong colour! Thks.

I bought mine 2-3 years ago in uk so long lasting quality is no problem. Try ordering over the internet don't know about how easy to get in BKK. I know the site lists retatailers you can e-mail and try to get them to post. Tip; I found a good place to secure it in the Hotel room is around the mini bar door hinge. I can't see a TG geting out of the hotel with a fridge under her arm.

Montydog, Thanks for reference. However Pac-Safe website does not state: What is the bag's material to prevent slashing it open with a knife/razor blade?

some Guys must have bad luck all the time, otherwise they would not be so paranoid about Girls stealing things. my normal room has no safe,my cases are not padlocked, valuables strewn all over the place (i'm an untidy barstard). money in my pockets/in the Girls wallets/on the tables or in drawers and very open to temptation. but I have never had any problem with things going missing. (well once, but that was a misunderstanding and things were sorted out the next day and I got my property back with no asking from me).
