I have not stayed there, although been there several times for food. The consensus on previous posts in the forum is that the hotel is not girl friendly, but the Rembrandt Serviced Apartments next door is girl friendly.

I hope this isn't too late to reply to a post. I stayed at the Rembrandt last spring and would go back there again. I recommend checking in for "Double" ( 2 guests per room). Just say my girlfriend is arriving later. They will ask for a name and you can just make one up because they won't check an I.D. in the lobby. It is a high end hotel as far as standards go but I paid $53USD per night which was at the upper end of my budget but it included a fantastic breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order. I hope this helps.

Have stayed there a number of times. Last time was 6 months ago and booked through the web to the Remb Appartments itself (not the Remb Hotel) and paid B2100 for a small suite. bedroom, separate lounge + kitchenette, 2 x TVs. Give it a 4 * rating.
Never had a problem walking the girls back, although I did tell them when I checked in at the counter that I would be having a guest (not 2 3 or 4) and didn'texpect to be hassled. I was actually hoping the girl checking me in would say you dont need one, just take me!
Dont know if this made a difference and if they puy XXX next to my name in the computer.

Do you get some sort of discount or are you booking long stay?
The rate I was given for a 1 bedroom suite when I looked over it was 2300 baht.

No, I had stayed there probably five times before over a two year period.
Firstly I phoned them to check on availablility (high view, non smoking) and spoke with the booking mangeress, chatted and told her the service had been excellent in the past and staff very professional.etc. She then quoted me the 2100, after I said I had stayed a few times before. Maybe she liked the short friendly chat and complements - try it.
Then I just booked it via the web from memory. I only stayed 5 days that time, so that is not a long stay rate.
This is the Serviced Appartments that I am talking about not the Hotel.

It is guest freindly in taht you can have a guest iof you pay for her. They charge a joiner fee unless you specifically tell them you want a double for 2 people, as mentioned previously just give them any name. When I stayed there the girl had to leave her ID card at the desk. They will charge the joiner fee for each lady and not per day so just make sure you tell them the room is for 2. This info relates to the hotel not the appartments.

Yes it was the apartments and I got the price off the manager Mr Raakesh O, Khanna back in January.

It could be the Baht has gained 10% against the USD over the last 6 months, so they have raised their room rates accordingly. When I booked the Baht to USD was about 42.5.
