I Just want everybody to know that I have just returned from Bangkok, I stayed at the Windsor Suites and this is a very girl friendly hotel, Had no troubles never had to show ID and was never stopped for any reason when I would bring girl to my room,I know that this hotel has been talked about before but the post gets very deep, So many pages to go through. just make sure you book as a double. They had a very good price on the internet not long ago 1830 baht per night includ breakfest.....Just wanted all to know

My stay at the Windsor was good, nice room, clean,Bathroom was good water pressure is good towels and linen were changed daily. All staff treated me well. I would reccommend this hotel to friends. Stayed there 17 days and will stay there next time in Bangkok

I stay at Windsor Suites Hotel in BKK. Here is the info: There are two hotels. A Suites and a regular. The Suites Hotel is more expensive, but the best of the two. It is a 4 star hotel (IMHO).
Bringing girls in should be no problem BEFORE or at 10pm. After, or at late night, if a girl returns to your room from work or whatever the case, they will charge you 1000baht, unless you have a double. However, security is professional and sometimes will give you a break (lower fee) if there is a mistake or 1st time this happens. Their roombook specifically says 10pm (yes, I read those in-room books). RULE: Do not get angry and always agree to accept any worst case scenario. Fix it later, get girl (or girls) in room.
This happened to me only once because I booked a double and was put in as a single because the two names looked too similar and they thought it was written as one. My partner had to leave her ID....mind you she was pissed as she was Alpha. I fixed it the next morning got my double. No rip offs at this hotel.
Rooms are CLEAN! Great air-conditioning....sometimes too cold which is just right for me. Frig, clean towels, housekeeping is friendly and excellent. All suites, room safe, NHK, MTV ASIA **and** The V-CHANNEL (this is a HUGE plus)!!
Hot Water, bottled water (2 bottles supplied daily), very friendly service staff, good restaurants and room service. Excellent laundry service too. It is my home from home. Walking distance to Asok station and Times Square. Brilliant window viewing (especially during the rainy season....what a display of those T-storms)! Breakfast is included and they have a good one.
So I always go there.  It's those morning flights when I leave BKK that get to me.....I have to leave the hotel sooo early for Tokyo. AHH!

I stayed at Windsor Suites for 14 days this June (2002). It was a good experience. The hotel was girl-friendly. I booked via Planet Holiday on the internet for 1800 baht a night. I broght in snacks of my own in conjunction with the mini-bar and there was no problem with this either. I did book for two and it was pointed out to me one time the name of the girl I was bringing up was the one I hadn't booked but this wasn't a problem.
Several times I broght two girls to my room simaltaneously and there was no problem with this either.
My impression was they were happy to have me staying there for 14 days striaght. Staff was very helpful and friendly with other miscellaneous things that I required assistance with. I would definitely consider going back (and probably will depending on the price when I go again).
Caveat - if you book via the internet and wish to utilize the gym you will have to pay 350 baht for each time you use as this may not be included in your less expensive internet price.
